Marco Maddaloni è un aitante campione di Judo divenuto noto al grande pubblico italiano non solo grazie alle numerose vittorie e medaglie conquistate nella sua carriera da judoka, ma anche per la sua carriera televisiva. Nato a Napoli nel dicembre 1984 da Giovanni Maddaloni e Caterina Iuliano, Maddaloni è il terzo e ultimo figlio di casa. Cresciuto nel Judo Club Star Napoli, gestito dal padre, si allenava insieme al fratello Pino e alla sorella Laura. Non ancora maggiorenne, aveva solamente 17 anni, Marco Maddaloni ha conquistato il titolo di campione italiano assoluto nella categoria under-73. La sua carriera è costellata di vittorie e ottimi risultati e tra il 2003 e il 2004 è stato anche carabiniere, mentre dal 2005 è entrato a far parte del corpo di polizia.

Marco Maddaloni, oltre ad essere un grande atleta italiano, è entrato nei cuori di molti italiani grazie anche alle su partecipazioni ad alcuni programmi televisivi. La prima volta in cui lo si è visto sullo piccolo schermo con vesti diverse rispetto alle abituali è stato nel 2013. Quell’anno ha partecipato a Pechino Express, sostituendo Alessandra Sensini (che si era ritirata) e gareggiando con Massimiliano Rosolino. La coppia de Gli Sportivi, così si chiamavano, è stata poi la vincitrice. Successivamente, tra il 2015 e il 2017, ha lavorato come tutor all’interno del programma condotto da Caterina Balivo: Detto Fatto, in onda su Rai 2. Nel 2019, infine, è andato come naufrago sull’Isola dei Famosi, all’epoca condotto da Alessia Marcuzzi e vincendo anche questo programma. Tutto ciò a dimostrazione che la vittoria la porta nel sangue.

Per quanto riguarda la sua vita privata, Maddaloni è sposato dal 2015 con Romina Giamminelli, un’ex concorrente di Pechino Express. I due si sono conosciuti nel 2009, sembrerebbe grazie al fratello di Marco, Pino. Successivamente tra loro è scoccata la scintilla e si sono sposati nel 2015 e da allora hanno messo su una bella famiglia. Hanno avuto ben tre figli: Giovanni, nato nel 2016, Giselle Maria, nata nel 2018, e Pino, nato nel 2020.
