Si è spento nelle scorse ore Franco Battiato: di cosa è morto, che malattia aveva il cantautore catanese che da tempo si era allontanato dalle scene.

Nelle scorse ore si è spento il cantautore catanese Franco Battiato. Nato nel 1945 a Ionia (Riposto), l’artista siciliano era da tempo protetto dalla famiglia nella sua casa di Milo, alle pendici dell’Etna. Da oltre un anno si vociferava che le sue condizioni di salute fossero disperate, che il cantautore fosse malato e che ormai gli restasse poco tempo. In più di un’occasione sono uscite notizie sul suo presunto decesso e lo stesso cantautore ha dovuto fare un video un paio d’anni fa per mostrare a tutti che quanto si diceva era falso.

Ciò nonostante la preoccupazione per il suo stato di salute non è cessata. Sebbene sia stato pubblicato un ultimo album nel 2019, Franco Battiato aveva fatto il suo ultimo concerto nel 2017 e da allora solamente i parenti e gli amici più stretti avevano potuto vederlo. Dopo la pubblicazione del disco ‘Torneremo Ancora‘, infatti, il cantante è scomparso nuovamente dalle scene. Negli ultimi due anni non ci sono stati video, comunicazioni o apparizioni pubbliche dell’artista, tanto da far suppore che Battiato fosse malato.

Franco Battiato, che malattia aveva?

Come detto si è supposto che fosse malato, perché in tal senso la famiglia del cantautore ha voluto mantenere il massimo riserbo. Non ci sono state comunicazioni ufficiali a riguardo, dunque non è dato sapere se Franco Battiato fosse realmente malato e da quale malattia fosse afflitto. L’unica comunicazione in tal senso è stata fatta dal fratello Michele quando sono emerse nuove voci sullo stato di salute del cantautore.

In quella occasione aveva detto: “Li voglio rassicurare, perché mio fratello riceve continuamente gli amici più intimi, viene curato al meglio e sta superando un momento di difficoltà, anche serenamente. Non abbiamo nessuna preoccupazione di qualsiasi sorta. Mio fratello è circondato dall’affetto degli amici più cari e dei parenti. Del resto, non ce ne frega niente. Perché chi parla è gente che non serve, non può aiutare e non vogliamo neanche sapere chi sono”.
