Si è spento all’età di 106 anni l’icona del cinema Norman Lloyd, splendido protagonista tra gli altri de L’attimo fuggente.
Il mondo del cinema piange la scomparsa di un altro dei suoi grandi protagonisti: la notte tra lunedì 10 maggio e martedì 11 maggio è deceduto l’attore Norman Lloyd. L’artista americano aveva 106 anni e si è spento placidamente nel sonno. Per oltre settant’anni è stato uno splendido protagonista di Hollywood, prima come attore e successivamente come regista e produttore. Lloyd era lo pseudonimo che aveva scelto di utilizzare per il mondo dello spettacolo, un cognome di maggiore impatto rispetto a quello originario: Perlmutter.
La notizia della sua dipartita ha colpito profondamente il mondo di Hollywood, sono stati tantissimi, infatti, gli attori che si sono ispirati al suo lavoro e che lo hanno ammirato prima di decidere di intraprendere una simile carriera. Da ore le pagine social si sono riempite di commenti di cordoglio e di spezzoni dei film più celebri in cui l’attore ha recitato. Norman Lloyd, la carriera di questo straordinario artista
Nato a Jersey City nel 1914, Norman si è appassionato alla recitazione teatrale già dai tempi della scuola. Da quelle parti era l’epoca d’oro di Broadway e la carriera da attore una delle ambizioni principali dei giovani. Tuttavia il sogno del giovane era quello di diventare un attore cinematografico, il suo esordio sullo schermo è avvenuto nel 1939 quando recitò nel film tv Streets of New York. Il grande passo verso il cinema è avvenuto solo l’anno dopo quando Alfred Hitchcock lo scelse per recitare in Sabotatori. Con il grande regista girò poi i cinque episodi di Alfred Hitchcock presenta e in quegli anni ebbe anche l’onore di partecipare a Le Luci della Ribalta di Charlie Chaplin.

Nella sua lunghissima carriera ha preso parte anche a serie cult come Star Trek: Next Generation e La Signora in giallo. Negli anni ’90 ha recitato al fianco di Robin Williams ne L’attimo fuggente e nel 2015 (a 100 anni) è stato uno dei protagonisti del film Un disastro di ragazza. Norman era anche l’ultimo protagonista del Mercury Theater di Orson Wells. Con il visionario regista doveva prendere parte a Quarto Potere (uno dei film simbolo della storia del cinema), ma prima che il progetto andasse in porto se ne distaccò.
