Maddie McCann, parla per la prima volta Christian Brueckner: “Ecco la verità”

Christian Brueckner, principale sospettato per la scomparsa di Maddie McCann, si pronuncia per la prima volta smentendo il suo coinvolgimento.

Da un paio d’anni il caso Maddie McCann, bambina scomparsa nel 2007 mentre si trovata nel resort di Praya da Luz in Portogallo con i genitori. Per anni le indagini hanno portato a piste inconcludenti, ma la procura tedesca è sicura di aver trovato il colpevole della sua scomparsa: Christian Brueckner. L’uomo si trova al momento in carcere per aver stuprato una turista americana e in passato ha avuto denunce per molestie su minori. Nel periodo in cui Maddie è scomparsa il cittadino tedesco si trovava in Portogallo, a pochi chilometri di distanza dal resort e pare che all’epoca svaligiasse le camere del resort con alcuni complici.

L’ipotesi della procura è che quel giorno fosse entrato nella camera dei McCann alla ricerca di beni e denaro e che, trovata la bambina, possa aver deciso di rapirla per chiedere il riscatto o venderla. Ad oggi la procura non ha mostrato alcuna prova a riguardo, ma in più di un’occasione ha dichiarato di essere in possesso di indizi chiave che potrebbero dimostrare il coinvolgimento dell’uomo.

Maddie McCann, Christian Brueckner smentisce il suo coinvolgimento

Finora Brueckner ed il suo legale avevano deciso di non commentare gli sviluppi delle indagini, ma di recente il sospettato ha inviato una lettera con la quale smentisce il suo coinvolgimento nella vicenda. Nella missiva inviata alla polizia tedesca, Brueckner scrive: “Accusare un sospettato è una cosa, qualcosa di completamente differente -vale a dire un vero e proprio scandalo – quando un procuratore comincia una campagna pubblica prima che un caso venga discusso da una corte”.

Proprio per via di questo scandalo Brueckner richiede che i procuratori che si stanno occupando del caso dovrebbero dare le proprie dimissioni. E ancora aggiunge: “Entrambi stanno provando al mondo tramite la mia condanna arbitraria in passato e la campagna pre condanna di oggi contro una persona innocente che non sono degni dell’incarico né come avvocati per la popolazione tedesca, stanno gettando vergogna sul sistema giudiziario tedesco”.
